The location was ideal, close to everything we wanted to see, plus bars and restaurants. The room was large and the breakfast room and rooftop terrace were wonderful. Overall a very pleasant stay for a 3-star hotel.
There was a slight problem with the airconditioning but only on our last night. The front office staff were a little cool but otherwise polite and professional.
First class all the way. This is the place stay in Florence. Breakfast is included and is absolutely wonderful. Would recommend without hesitation.
Location was good for access to the core of the old part of Florence. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was respectable and the roof top garden/patio was nice (watch out for the pigeons... They like to steal food).
I think it may have been a little over priced but I did not take the time to research other sites. Beware- a superior room means there are jets in the tub.. It has nothing to do with the view so if you would like to get a room with a view of the river(and/or the bridge), make sure you specify it. The bath was upgraded but while the shower stall (part of the tub) was modern, it was not very functional in regards to room to move once the door was closed. The courtyard view is actually (now) more of a small parking lot. I am sure at one time, maybe 50 plus years ago, it was more of a courtyard.
Perfect location, beautiful rooms, helpful staff, gorgeous common areas.
Avoid if you are mobility-impared; many stairs, and a very small lift.
I truly enjoyed my stay... This is a quaint little gem in a great location. It has a beautiful terrace on the roof with a lovely view of the Ponte Vecchio on one side and the Duomo on the other. The staff was not just accommodating but very sweet and polite.
My only complaint was noise... One morning there began some kind of construction in the lane below my 1st floor window at 06:30. It only went on for about an hour, but why 06:30?
Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is next to the Ponte Vecchio. Rooftop garden is a delight. Hotel is walking distance to everything important around /florence.
Hotel Hermitage is a little gem facing Arno River and Ponte Vecchio. The hotel is accessed by a steps and elevator reaches to 5th floor where the reception is located. Attention was given to small details (ambiance, home spray, delicate lightning project, authentic Tuscany furniture, nice wall treatments and more importantly a very profession staff highly prepared to answer your questions, provide input to your demands and to call you by your name. The living room opposite to reception is a poupourri what is Florence and what is life in Tuscany: solid wood furniture beautifully aged, brass ornaments, exquisite upholstery and curtains in silk and cotton in flowery pattern, apple green walls and a charm that is difficult to explain in words. My single bedroom was ok, the mattress could be softer and the view from window was terrific Ponte Vecchio and Arno river. Breakasft was all about coziness and fresh food served at the rooftop terrace by a super gentile maid/housekeeper from the Phillipines (very polite, very courteous)
Mattress could be better
Terrific lactation, nice helpful staff, cute , charming little hotel. Great bath
Rooms are small. Shutters obscure coveted view of bridge
Perfect place for visit to Firenze
Great location, nice decoration of guest room and public ares.
Worst breakfast we had ever have, which does not include basic elements like vegetables and eggs. This is unacceptable. In addition, the mobility is problematic. There is a tiny elevator (3 people max) BUT one needs to climb many stairs to get that elevator! There is no one normal size mirror in the room.
Excellent service & helpfulness of staff. Location next to Ponte Vecchio meant we were within walking distance of so much of old Florence.
The view was splendid... Even in bad weather. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and always just a step away when you needed something. Location location location... Great and easy place to get to. The shower in my room was fancy, although I was always too exhausted to enjoy it.
Well, the room was dreary. I did not care for the decor, but this did not upset my trip at all.
Location and view of Arno. Friendly staff, great living room.
Could do with a desk in the room and a reading lamp. Heater in the bathroom needs to be better.
Excellent location, classy and helpful staff.
Comfortable bed Good sized room with good furnishings Excellent staff, always helpful with maps and restaurant suggestions Has a lift Great view of the Arno In an excellent location near many sights Great view from breakfast room, reasonable breakfast buffet
Only thing was the odd smell in the hallway. Not a big deal. It did not extend into the rooms.
